I am a full professor of computer science and head of group for Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Sustainability at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University, and have adjunct positions at University of Oslo – UiO and Norwegian University of Science and Technology – NTNU. I was previously a senior scientist at SINTEF Digital, a senior engineer at DNV, a postdoctoral research fellow at University of Oslo – UiO, and a visiting researcher at University of Oxford. I received my PhD degree in computer science in 2012 from University of Leuven. My main research interests fall into ontology-driven information systems and ontology-driven design of information systems from a human-computer interaction perspective.

My recent research activities are related to data integration, management, and access for industrial and open data using the Semantic Web and Linked Data technologies and principles. My research interests span: end-user development, the Semantic Web, knowledge representation, digitalisation, and Big Data. I have taken part in several large EU projects (Horizon 2020, FP7, FP6, Erasmus etc.) such as TheyBuyForYou, Optique, iCamp, ROLE, LEGIS, LEFIS, and TREE. I was the technical manager for TheyBuyForYou project. I currently sit on the editorial boards of Journal of Web Semantics (JoWS), Transactions on Graph Data and Knowledge (TGDK), and Data Technologies and Applications and organised several conferences including Declarative AI series (RuleML+RR, Reasoning Web Summer School, and DecisionCAMP).
